Been looking at this game off and on for a few years, finally decided to pick it up over the spring sale. For the price, you're getting a pretty decent Superman simulator that can be completed in like 3-4 hours. Fly across the earth, fight aliens, keep the loss of human life low. The gameplay is pretty basic, possibly too basic for some, as you aim for the bright red or yellow button on the aliens and aim for that, but it's pretty funny when you fire a volley of energy blasts only for the enemy to juke your shots at the last second and you level a city block on accident. It's both to its credit and detriment that your "health" is human loss of life. A great way to deal with being a god (also not having to program enemies to acknowledge the player's existence, as they focus on cities and not you), but also the greatest source of frustration when your unexpectedly overcharged energy blasts levels an entire city (if not entire planet). This would be fine if free mode, which you can only access once you beat the game, lifted casualty restrictions, but it only does to an extent. levelling entire blocks in one blast will still cause a fail state and reload a checkpoint. There also doesn't seem to be aliens in free-mode? Still fun to fly around the world (and beyond!).For barely $6, I feel the content is worth the purchase, and those with VR setups will have access to what I think would probably be one of the best VR experiences you can get. Despite the issues, this is a legitimately impressive game with an incredible sense of scale, and I'm kinda surprised it came and went with so little fanfare.https://store.steampowered.com/ap..._Rainfall/
