I have owned them for over a year and traveled extensively with them through at least 20 parks. They are obviously not as stiff or as lightweight as a solid 1-piece carbon fiber pole, but they are light enough and stiff enough for any hiking I’ve ever done (including down the North Rim). There are carbon fiber poles that are slightly lighter. There are telescoping poles that are slightly stiffer. What makes these unique is that they collapse down enough to fit into a backpack or carry-on luggage without sticking out, and that’s worth something to me.
